The famous right shore

The famous Right shore

The city of Paris is divided in two parts : The right shore and the left shore. This two shore are very different they do not symbolize the same thing. The right shore symbolize luxury, opulence and it's more bling bling than left shore. And the left shore symbolize the culture and a place for the intellectual. This difference between this two shore is noticeable even in the stores, it's important to know that the both shore can own the same stores, but the strategy and targets are completely differents.

But let's focus on the Right Shore.

I recently went visited some places of the right Bank. the First location was "The Avenue Montaigne" is really the symbol of luxury and the bling bling, this Avenue concentrates all the luxury brands shops but not only we can find palace like the Plaza Athénée or luxurious Hotel like the Four Seasons, George V. There is also place like the Art curial which is an auction house. Most of the shops located in Avenue Montaigne are owned by the two main luxury groups LVMH and Kering. But there is also brands like Chanel owned by other group or independent like Dolce & Gabanna which can be found on the Avenue Montaigne.

During my visit I also learned about the DNAs of the different brands which is easily noticeable with the shop windows of the various brands that highlights their DNAs. For example the shops windows of Chanel was black and whites, the articles highlighted were in tweed which are some of the codes that are parts of the DNAs of the House.I also saw the Dior store on avenue Montaigne, which is not just a classic store, but also a restaurant and a gallery. According to the guide, it's an example of one of the recent desires of the great luxury houses to give us an experience.

After the guide decided to stopped in front of the shop Hermès which is located in the avenue George V. This store is really special because it's also a boutique specializing in hat design. This is because Hermès bought Ernest Motsch's brand which have a particular know how in hat design. The store also has two entrances: one especially for hats and the other for other products.

The last Location was "Avenue des Champs Elysées", with the guide we stopped in front of Fouquet's he explain us the link between this place and the industry of cinema. In fact the Fouquet's it's where the French film awards were presented, it's by the way something that we can see in the DNA of the restaurant. After we stopped at the Cartier store, at the left and the right side of the shop front we can see two coats of arms, the one on the left is that of the Principality of Monaco, as Cartier was a supplier to the royal family.and the one on the right represents the Russian royal family.

What struck me on this visit was that, while the Right Bank may seem flashy, luxurious and highly touristy, it is also steeped in rich history. There are many intricate details that remind us of its cultural importance and reveal that there is much more to it than meets the eye.
